Pete visits Mya

Mya has been very excited about having Pete visit her home and finally she had the chance. Pete said he had a great time, thanks heaps Mya.

Pete goes home with Andy

Pete went for a visit at Andys home. Wow what a fun looking tree hut and go cart Andy has at his house. Pete loved his stay at Andys overnight.

Pete goes home with Bella

Pete had the pleasure of going home with Bella overnight, looking around her house and all the fun things there. He even now has a girl friend!

Pete goes to Wanganui to watch inline hockey

Sandie and Pete went to Wanganui with the Southern Inline Hockey Team over Labour weekend. They had a really great time and although the hockey team did not have a win they played well and Sandie and Pete were very proud of them. The hockey boys loved having Pete come along and were keen to have him sit with them and watch as they played hockey. The team have asked if Pete would like to go on their next trip away next year when they go over to Wellington.
Pete was telling Sandie that he might take up inline hockey next year. That would be something to watch out for...................

Pete visits Lisa

Pete was off again to visit one of our Kindergarten friends. He went to McDonald, bounced on a tramp, went to a party and had fun with Lisa and her family.

Pete the Pukeko travels with Sophie

Sophie took Pete on a trip to Rotorua in the weekend when she visited family. Pete got to see all the sites with Sophie and even got to fly on a plane!

Pete goes home with Bree

This was the first trip for Pete to one of the childrens houses.

Bree took special care of Pete and his sore wing while he stayed the night at her house. She showed him around her house and Pete even wanted to get up and play during the night.

We will be following the adventures of Pete in the coming months. The children will have the chance to take him home each weekend with a digital camera and bag for Pete.

Pete was sore but alright

Sandie came to Kindergarten this morning with Pete after caring for him on the weekend. He had bandages and plasters and seemed a bit sore. Some of the children looked after Pete this morning and showed him around Kindergarten.

We talked with the children about maybe taking Pete home or on trips with them. They could take photos and then we could put it onto the Blog to see what Pete gets up to.

We found a Pukeko on the road

On Friday we were traveling over to Nelson when Shayne spotted a Pukeko moving on the side of the road. It didn't seem to be moving much and Shayne ran to check if we could help it. As we looked at it we noticed it had a hurt wing which would need urgent attention. Quick as we could we rushed the Pukeko to the vet for attention.

The Pukeko has been looked at and is resting quietly with Sandie for the weekend, we will see how he is on Monday.
